What Is the OG Image Generator?
This Open Graph image generator lets you easily create OG images from text. You can dynamically generate images for social media sites and customize them to your liking.
To create an OG image, simply input your headline and text, then customize the design to suit your needs.
How Do You Use the OG Image Generator
- For your blog post or any other page on your website, input your heading (web page title) and text (meta description) to create dynamic images. When you update them, the image will be instantly refreshed.
- Select the font, heading size, text size, and the spacing between them. You can choose from various fonts available on Google Fonts. However, while most of these fonts are licensed under the SIL, always double-check the font's license before using it. The default font is your system's (operating system) font.
- Customize the padding for the dynamic Open Graph images. You can also adjust the image width and height, although 1200x630 is typically recommended.
- Choose an image for the left side, which is usually where you'd want your logo. If you prefer not to use a left-side image, simply set the left width to zero.
- For the background, select gradients for the left side and set the right side's background and text color. These choices are crucial for image link ads, as colors play a major role in attracting attention.
- You can remove the left-side image, center the text horizontally and vertically on the right, and add rounded corners to the Open Graph image.
- You don't need to do anything to generate images as they are created automatically. Just click the "Download" button to save the image, add it to your website, and update your Open Graph meta tags accordingly.
Why Should You Use the OG Image Generator
The Open Graph protocol is used by most social media platforms today. While adding Open Graph tags is relatively simple, creating the accompanying images can be more challenging. This OG image generator simplifies the process by dynamically creating images based on your text and font preferences.
Although it doesn't currently offer theme selection, the tool is still effective and easy to use. All you need to do is generate the image, download it, and then add the appropriate meta or image tags to your webpage, referencing the location of the image.
Lastly, if you'd also like to create a favicon, you can find the favicon generator page, which uses similar technology.
